Module details

Overview:

In the hurly burly of change and performance management, it is easy for us to forget the real needs of patients, users and carers. Too often we make assumptions about needs which are uninformed. This module explores a model of change management (desired futures) which takes account of: Policy and legislation Organisational culture Professional rituals and customs User-led needs assessment Carers and communities Diversity and ethnicity Needs based performance

Feedback:

  • ‘It has given me the courage to challenge our existing service models’
  • ‘An inspirational person who is principled and passionate about his work’
  • ‘I can use this! Stimulated me to think about needs assessment in a completely different way’
  • ‘The lasting message is that major change is achieved through influencing behaviour and attitudes and not by tinkering with functions and structures’
