Module details

Overview:

Improving as a manager is a personal journey. You have to experience it and there are no shortcuts. This workshop considers the basic and essential building blocks of the role of a manager:

  • administration and management
  • leadership and teamwork
  • change management

Managers spend the majority of their time interacting with other people.  The workshop considers commonly used models of behaviour, including

  • Myers-Briggs (MBTI)
  • Concepts such as emotional intelligence, core quadrants and PAEI

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the links between leadership, change and management
  • Appreciate the need to be flexible and self aware
  • Consider personality and learning models and the impact of your personality
  • Use Myers-Briggs (MBTI) to test the models
  • Understand your preferences for processing data and making decisions
  • Consider the impact of different leadership and management styles
