Module detail

From Ward To Whitehall

Julie Bailey, Founder of Cure the NHS, tells her story about her mother’s care and her role as an expert witness at the Francis Public Inquiry into Mid-Staffordshire Hospital.

She poses three key questions:

►    Why does poor care occur?

►    What can organisations do about it?

►    What can individual managers do about it?

That is followed by considering how to address institutional coercion and resist the pressure to conform.
