Services to children in need in Wales must improve

Following publication of the Victoria ClimbiƩ Inquiry Report in January 2003, the Social Services Inspectorate for Wales undertook an audit of local authority social services for children in need in Wales (2003/4). Inspectors found many examples of good and innovative practice, but this was not of a consistently high enough standard across authorities.
